Sunday Service

Come Worship with Us at Mountpottinger!

At Mountpottinger, Sunday mornings are about coming together as a church family to worship Jesus. Our service starts at 11am, and we’d love to welcome you!

What to Expect
We’re a friendly, relaxed bunch, so there’s no need to stress about what to wear. Some people like to dress smartly, while others keep it casual in jeans and T-shirts—you’ll fit in either way. If you’re running late, no problem—you’re not alone, and we’ll be happy to see you whenever you arrive!

Our Worship Style
Our Praise Group leads all the music, blending traditional hymns with modern songs to create a worship experience that feels fresh yet familiar.

Holy Communion
Once a month, we celebrate Holy Communion—a cherished time in the Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome to take part, no matter where you’re at in your faith journey.

Families and Kids
We love seeing families in church! Kids stay with us for the start of the service, joining in with worship before heading off to Sunday School for their own fun and meaningful activities.

Who Leads the Service?
Our services are led by either our minister Pat Lennox or a Local Preacher, with announcements and a warm welcome usually given by Clifford McKechnie, our Society Steward. Local Preachers bring unique insights from their own lives, making the messages relatable and inspiring.

Making Worship Accessible

  • Wheelchair access: Through the side entrance.
  • Hearing loop: Ensures everyone can hear clearly.
  • Bibles: The New International Version (NIV) is in the pews for you to use.
  • Tech-Friendly Worship: Our projector, videos, and audio system enhance the service, making it engaging and easy to follow.

Mountpottinger is all about worship, community, and connection. Whether it’s your first time or your hundredth, we’d love to see you this Sunday—come as you are and feel right at home!
